You and Diana were on your way to Green Gables, trying not to laugh about the prank you had planned. The idea was to pretend Minnie May was sick again and call for Anne’s help. Just as you started yelling for Anne, Jerry came up, looking worried.

"Are you two okay? What happened?" he asked.

You and Diana quickly explained the prank behind the barn, telling him it was all for Anne's birthday. Jerry smiled, understanding the joke, and you both started yelling for Anne again.

A minute later, Anne and Diana left for Diana's house in a rush, leaving you behind. Jerry went back to work in the barn, moving hay with his pitchfork like he always did.

"Ah, tu m'as fait peur! You scared me!" Jerry said when he noticed you. He set the pitchfork aside. "Did Diana and Anne not take you with them?" he asked, looking confused.
