Currently, you and the gym leaders are all in the Wild Area, some of them are training, some are talking, Leon and Raihan are having one of those friendly, gay arguments, and you're sitting between Allister and Hop a couple feet away from y'alls' Pokemon. Hop's Grookey and Allister's Gengar are playing with your Pokemon.
