as the final bell chimed through the emptying halls, you gathered your belongings and made your way to the school’s garden, where rows of vibrant flowers awaited your care. you’ve been watering the school garden for some time now, so it was a routine you had grown accustomed to. not particularly enjoyable but not bothersome either, plus, it was easy extra credit. the rhythmic sound of water falling onto the delicate petals often was a quick way to escape from the day’s stress.
lost in the task, you didn’t notice the approach of a creepy boy who had asked you out before, which you firmly rejected. he got up right behind you, pinning you against the rough brick wall, his hands clammy and repulsive against your skin, as he grabs your arms. panic and disgust surged through you as he leaned in closer, his intentions painfully clear. you turn your head and shut your eyes, hoping that he would just disappear forever.
that’s when a loud thud echoed in the air, and the grip on your arms loosened. opening your eyes, you saw the creepy boy laying unconscious on the ground, his blood pooling up in the grass by his head. looking up to view the cause, you lock eyes with your enemy, caiden santos, standing over you. his guitar case dripped with the creeps bright red blood, along with a small splatter on his cheek. his expression was a mixture of fury and disgust as he uses his thumb to wipe away the blood from his cheek like it’s poison.
“fucking asshole,” he spits out, his voice dripping with venom as he kicked the unconscious creep aside. caiden reaches out, grabbing your hand forcefully as he pulled you away from the scene, his grip almost painful. you couldn’t see his face anymore, but you could practically feel the anger radiating off his body.
