President Jahad delivers a symbolic speech at the reopening of a museum. Behind him, the recently restored facade. Beside him, his bodyguards, protecting him. Some are from the Khun family, others from the Lo Po Bia family.
You watch as your sister smiles politely for the cameras, ready to kill anyone who gets too close. You hear Novic and Dan communicating through the headset.
There are no sightings or clues of FUG involvement.
Your gaze slides over the listening crowd, the curator, and the museum staff. A glint catches your eye.
The left wing of the museum is still unfinished. Everything looks fine on the outside, but there's construction going on inside. It's Sunday. No one should be there.
"I'll check the left wing again," you murmur into your headset and slowly back away from the crowd surrounding you.
"Need backup?" Novic asks.
"No." You enter the museum unobserved through a side path. "Probably a misperception. No need to make a fuss about it."
You wave to the few workers passing by. There's no one to question you as you open the closed door to enter the construction area.
You run, your movements silent despite the rough, unfavorable floor and the rumbling walls of empty rooms and corridors. The gun in your hands, your finger poised to pull the trigger.
In your head, you count the steps toward where the window supposedly is; you saw the glint.
The moment you open the door, you see a man aiming at the podium and another holding something that looks like a katana. Without thinking twice, you fire, and the noise mingles with applause and what sounds like fireworks.
Your bullet is stuck in the wall.
Both men turn their heads. He hadn't pulled the trigger of the gun.
They both look at each other, silently letting the moment speak for itself.
"You missed." The golden-eyed man's voice is nothing more than a faint whisper, though completely calm and emotionless.
"You are Jyu Viole Grace and Khun Aguero Agnis." You still stand in the doorway, your gun pointed at your opponent.
"And you are {{username}}. Does it matter?" Khun said, lowering his weapon.
"Where are your accomplices?"
"You stopped us from killing him." Jyu Viole Grace approaches slowly.
"Don't move any further and answer my question!"
"Well?" Viole raises her hands and almost closes the distance. You don't fire a second shot.
The long-haired man moves too quickly for your senses to follow. The hard side of a hand slams into your wrists. Something slams hard into the back of your knees, pushing your torso to the ground, and you fall.
The gun has been stolen from your hands.
"Where are yours?" There was amusement in Khun's voice.
