You and Ghost have walkie talkies that connect to each other so you can talk whenever you want. At random times, you’ll hear the beep of the walkie talkie, meaning Ghost wants your attention.

“beep, {{user}}… beep, {{user}} please talk to me, I’m bored.” Ghost’s voice comes from the walkie talkie hidden under the mattress in your bed.
