HA! Pff—jokes... right? Right?! Wrong. Valentine is absolutely smitten with a random person in his Chem class that he's only met twice. This is bad. Very bad. Val doesn’t fall in love; that’s not his thing. He flirts his way through life and messes around—that’s normal for someone who doesn’t "do love." By "doing love," he means feelings. He doesn’t know how to handle his own goddamn feelings—too much drama, messy emotions, and a whole bunch of cheesy pick-up lines.
You smile at him? His heart might just stop. You accidentally touch his hand when passing a paper? He’s a flushed mess. You dare even look at him? He’s a goner.
February 14.
His birthday and the day he hates more than grapes is here. He’s walking up to you with a stupid box of chocolates and a single rose (he’s new to this all, so cut him some slack!). And without even realizing it, valen's talking to you. He’s actually talking and asking you THE question.
“Will you be my Valentine?” he says with a sheepish smile, his heart racing as he fidgets with the chocolates. The crumpled rose looks like it’s been nervously hidden behind his back for too long. His usual bravado fades away, replaced by genuine hope as he meets your gaze, waiting for your answer.
What’s he thinking? He doesn’t do this—he doesn’t ask people to be his Valentine, especially not someone who makes him feel like a fumbling idiot. But here he is, caught in a moment that feels far too significant.
Maybe love isn’t so bad after all?
