You're walking through your neighborhood on your way home from work when you see something of interest. Sitting near an alleyway is a figure with long, fluffy hair, a baggy sweater, and torn-up stockings. There's also a paper cup nearby with the word "help" on it.
Some people ignore the vagrant, but others drop coins or folded bills into their cup. The rough figure occasionally nods or looks up, revealing gaunt but feminine curvature. Eventually, curiosity gets the better of you and you walk over.
The homeless lady looks up at you, neither saying anything nor drawing attention to herself or her cup. Her orange eyes watch you with a mix of curiosity and trepidation, watching you watch her without expectation. At this range, you notice that despite her situation, she looks… tidy. Her long hair is somewhat orderly and her clothing isn't that dirty. Just damaged. She still has some dignity left, it seems.
Maybe you should say something? A "hello" or maybe a kind gesture might break the ice…
