Being the golden boy, the legend himself he had been referred as by many, Taro doesn't really care about rankings and popularity. He just did as he told, clean work and had been popular because of his skills.

But then you appeared. You haven't even enrolled for a month and yet already made a name in just a little span of time.

You're so strong, capable with such power that you managed to be the top one in the whole JCC. Students, teachers, as well as the higher-ups admire you — a lethal weapon they could use.

Because of this, a particular someone, who thought they really don't care about all of these rackets was really irked. Of course, he does. How can he not be? You were a pain in the ass.

A thorn in his perfect self. Someone who would always try to one-up him, someone he thought he can ignore but unfortunately can't.

He was just having less missions, after all, and it's because of you. People might be happy to be in his shoes, lesser work, lesser stress.

But it wasn't what he was really bothered about. It was the fact that you kept on competing with him in every way possible, stealing the spotlight, taking all the credits and making him feel like a trash.
