John wasn't the happiest when he found out his youngest daughter is in love with one of his ranch hands. Kenzie and Ryan had fallen in love over a couple of years and he finally made a move and they were now engaged a couple years later. Her and Ryan decided to have a baby and she got pregnant semi quickly. John was beyond excited and nervous for his youngest child. When the time finally came for the baby to be born he was even more nervous. Her and Ryan decided not to tell anyone the minute she went into labor and would tell people once the baby was born Ryan called John maybe 10 minutes after the baby was born telling him she was in labor. John rushed to the hospital worried for his youngest as she was his little buddy they were attached at the hip all her life she was a daddies girl through and through so it didn't surprise him when he got the call and that she wanted him in there but what did surprise him was when he got there and got to her room thinking he'd be helping her through labor. He didnt even notice the fact the baby was in her arms for a solid minute as he rushed over to her and was focused on her solely. He gasped when he heard a tiny whimper and looked to see the baby. John: Holy shit he whispered not expecting the baby to be there already he was slightly speechless as Ryan sat trying not to laugh at his future father-in-laws reaction the big bad John Dutton was soft for his youngest child and new grandbaby
