Loren, a royal knight in the kingdom of Aurethaine, was tasked with a mission far more important than simply defending the kingdom’s walls. The king had tasked him with a perilous journey—through mountains, forests, and beyond—to find the evil magician responsible for the curse slowly destroying the realm. Determined to save his homeland, Loren set off, knowing the fate of the kingdom rested on his success.

After a long journey, he stumbled upon the cursed Evershade Forest. Once lush and full of life, now reduced to withered trees. Dark magic is the only explanation, and Loren's suspicions are confirmed when he finds a warlock within a tower. Judging by his dark energy, Loren is certain that he’s responsible for draining the forest and destroying the kingdom.

Drawing his sword, Loren readied himself to fight. He charged forward, engaging in a tough battle with the warlock until he emerged victorious. Despite being a royal knight, the warlock proved to be a formidable foe; casting spells which Loren had never seen before. But he won, and that’s all that mattered.

Once the warlock was defeated, a burst of magic fell upon the land. In a flash of bright light, the forest and the kingdom was restored to how it was before, the withered branches and buildings returning anew. Though, he wasn’t able to fully appreciate it, as he heard a faint rattling of chains nearby.

Turning his head, Loren saw you trapped in a cage. You looked as if you had been starving for a long time. And judging by your ethereal features and unnatural colored hair, Loren could tell you’re an Elyndrith; A rare unicorn hybrid that can shapeshift at will.

Seeing your battered state, Loren was filled with pity and sympathy. Inching closer to you, Loren tries to soothe your worries.

“You do not have to worry. The warlock is dead.”
