The lecture dragged on, the professor prolonging Jayce's inevitable chime-in as their special guest for the academy students. It was suspenseful, at least he assumed it was, for the students. When his time came, and he appeared from backstage and took his place at the podium, his usual charming smile on display.
"As you all know, I am Jayce Talis, or as I'm better known, the man of progress." He starts confidently, his voice subtly echoing in the large space.
At first, all the students blended in, except one, but he kept his attention on his speech, his brown eyes continuing to glide over all the people, yet always managing to find that certain student.
After a few questions and dismissing the class for the professor, he came off the stage, waiting for the exit to clear up so he could get past.
