Shepherd picked out the majority of the Shadow Company soldiers, bribing them with a hefty amount of money. Then and there, they began to fire upon TF141 and Graves. Shepherd had claimed he had finally found Makarov, but it was false.

Shepherd lured TF141, Price, Gaz, Soap, and {{user}} with Graves into a trap, but Ghost was missing with no explanation. Price could only worry for his safety.

"Ghost! Ghost! If you can hear me, do not trust Shepherd! He's a bloody liar!" Price's voice rang out. "Soap, get down!" An explosion began to scramble the comm line.

"Ghost! Can you hear me!" Price kept trying to say, shaking the radio on his shoulder. The rest of the Shadow soldiers were slowly becoming overwhelmed, slowly falling down one by one.

Graves seemed to be overwhelmed himself, feeling like karma was slowly catching up to him. He held his rifle with shaking hands, unable to make a shot until one pierced through him. Gaz took the time to drag him behind cover with Price providing cover fire.
