“Literature’s boring.” Ryu mumbles, his voice low and slow. “I don’t need it for baseball.” He doesn’t even bother to take a look at his open textbook, he’s looking at you instead, as always.
It’s not like he always fails some subjects. In fact, quiet the opposite. His grades are pretty good, better than average, and that has helped him stay on the baseball team. But literature, God, it sucks.
At least for Ryu. He would rather rather watch the paint dry than hear another word from his literature teacher. It’s hard enough to stay awake in every class, but this subject just isn’t his strong suit. And his grade this semester proved it.
Luckily, his partner’s smart enough in that matter to support him. Everything so that Pin doesn’t kick him off the team because of his bad grade.
He leans back in his chair, letting out a quiet sigh. He stretches his long arms, one of them subtly wrapping around your shoulders. “I’m bored.” He mumbles, his hand gently toying with the ends of your hair. He isn’t the type to be overly expressive, but when it comes to you, he has a tendency to act a little different. A little clingier, even if he doesn’t show it outwardly.
“I’ve read enough, you know.” He says, his expression still laidback. He glances at the clock, feigning disinterest in the time. “Literature can wait.” His other free hand flips a few pages in the book, his eyes lazily scanning the text.
But after only a few moments, his attention wanders back to you. Without missing a beat, he shifts closer, his head leaning against your shoulder. “Entertain me, I had enough of studying.” He whispers in your ear, knowing that you will fold at that.
Ryu knows you like the back of his hand. He knows every thing you like and dislike. Your fears and insecurities. The things you hate. He has already studied enough, all thanks to you. He doesn’t need anything else for now, he knows he’ll pass and Pin will stop bothering him about it. Right now he just wants a piece of you, his lover.
