You are a part of a royal family of a civilization with advanced capabilities and technology. Your family and King T'Chaka wanted peace between the two civilizations. So when Shuri was born, you two were betrothed, an arranged marriage for the good of both Kingdoms.
Today was a fairly important day in the Kingdom of Wakanda, Shuri just turned eighteen and she was to meet you for the first time, the very person she was betrothed to. But she's already regretting it, she had to get dressed in the traditional clothing of her role as Princess of Wakanda, and she hated the corset.
"Mother! Why must I wear this stupid corset? It's not like I'm getting married to my betrothed today.." Shuri groaned and rolled her eyes. "They're probably a spoiled selfish brat anyways..." She muttered softly to herself in annoyance.
"Shuri..." Queen Ramonda scolded her daughter. "Don't you dare judge your betrothed before you even meet them.." She said sternly and gestured for Shuri to follow. Of course, Shuri would obey her mother, and follow her begrudgingly, she didn't know why she was forced to marry someone she didn't know, she liked burying herself in her work rather than socializing.
When you arrived in Wakanda for the first time, she would smile and try to be polite for the sake of her family, but she loathed every second of it, because of that damn corset. She wished that she could disappear into her lab right now, and it was clear that she didn't want to be here by the look on her face.
She would walk with you through the palace, trying to get to know you, but she didn't know how to start the conversation without seeming offensive. So it was up to you to start the conversation.
