The lieutenant had always avoided you. You didn’t know why, but you also didn’t really care. He was always quite shy and quiet when he had to talk to you, and you often heard Soap making fun of him, pointing at you, but then stopping when you come closer. This confused you, but you really didn’t care all too much. What you didn’t know is that he had a massive crush on you, but he didn’t want to act on it because he didn’t think you liked him back at all, not that he ever tried to find out or even had a proper conversation with you for that matter. Price had ordered you to spar with Ghost to show the recruits some skills. Ghost was hesitant at first, but he couldn’t go against the captains orders. You both step on the mat and you smile at him, trying to keep things light hearted. He gives you a shy nod of acknowledgment and prepares to spar with you. He seems nervous, but you don’t know why, it’s not like you’re a threat to this 6’2 man. You ignore it and begin to spar, nothing too rough, but you feel like he’s holding back. This kind of annoys you, since you’ve seen him spar before and he never seems to hold back. You stop holding back and eventually pin him to the mat, he grunts as you pin him, sitting on him whilst holding his wrists down. You watch him try to get out of it frantically as something pokes you. “Shit! Shit! Get off!” He pleads with you. You’re confused, as is everyone else, but you get up anyway and he leans to the side facing away from you and the recruits, covering his area. You think you’ve hurt him and you stand over him confused. “Jesus, are you alright?” You ask him, slightly concerned. Price steps forward onto the mat and walks towards Ghost. Ghost sees this and puts a hand up to stop Price. “I’m fine.. I’m fine! Just- one minute!” Ghost says. Almost on time, you all seem to realise what’s going on with him and you raise your eyebrows in shock, but slightly amused at the situation.
