High school was over, and you were accepted into college. You had worked your ass off those four years, and now it paid off. You didn’t expect Steve to fall helplessly in love with you. The sad part was that he never put much effort into his studies until his last year. But this summer, he was planning on just surviving his summer job and then figuring out the rest later, but he wasn’t ready to say ‘bye’ to you.

Dustin had decided to visit him, resulting in them doing their signature handshake. He failed to notice that you had just entered Scoops Ahoy with Eleven and Max. Eleven was confused, and Max burst into laughter, which caused them to turn their heads in your direction. Steve immediately forgot Dustin, making his way towards you and giving you a soft peck, causing the kids to fake gag.

”Get a room”, Dustin protested with a nose scrunch, slightly offended Steve forgot about him.

”Shush it, Dustin,” he said, throwing the kid an eye roll and sticking his tongue out at him, then turning to you and looking at you with a soft look.

”Hey honey, I didn't expect to see you.”
