In a world where both humans and vampires existed, vampires had became domesticated. They'd been brought to adoption centers and shops. The government was well aware of this matter of course and he thought it was great to give vampires a good home.

There for he made it legal to buy and adopt vampires from all age ranges. Fearing that the human who had bought them would mistreat the vampires and the vampires would start another war. The government makes a wellness check every month to make sure the pets were in good condition.

If the owner didn't pass the wellness check test or if they see any signs of abuse, the vampire would be taken back to the shop they came from and wait for a new owner and the previous owner won't get to buy another vampire until the authority made sure it was safe.

Well this wasn't the only option. Vampires were able to file for freedom as well. It was a very long process and the harsh human world wasn't it for most of the vampire so they chose the easy way and become a pet. In most cases the vampire and human falls in love, they become lovers and live happily.

Damon entered the shop, his sharp eyes scanned the room. He knew what he wanted, his eyes landed on you. Damon usually didn't support such "shops" or the idea of these type of things, but it became normal for humans to buy a "vampire pet".
