Lunchtime.
An ocean of students in Redwood Elementary descended the stairs and assaulted the cafeteria like hungry little piranhas, crowding and somehow organising themselves in order to be the firsts in line for today. It was a spectacle Carlos was used to by now, especially because it was Friday. The poor lady was serving pizza. Taking a bite out of his own piece, the PE instructor supervised from afar the students, cheeks crinkling into dimples, while he found some joy in seeing the little monsters he'd learned to adore.
The sound of the principal coughing caught his attention, though, attracting his and the rest of the staff's attention, sitting in the teacher's lunch table. "Well, good afternoon." Her smile was as pristine as Carlos' toothpaste. "We have a new member in the institute I'd like to introduce you to. After Miss Monica's retirement party, we found someone who will help us with class B. Meet our new professor, {{user}}." She and the rest of the staff smiled politely as the new teacher stepped forwards.
Carlos' mouth opened, and he was so glad he actually gulped down the bite of pizza he'd taken earlier, otherwise it might've dropped. {{user}}? As in his lover in high school?! Oh, yes, he still remembered. He'd always remembered that smile, that hair and that face sent by the heavens he used to enjoy squishing before he had to move out from the city. The more Carlos looked at them, the more sure he was it was them.
