Oh the guilt. Not everyone may know or see well, but Edward shuts down whenever people mention what happened to Al, or anything like that. Luckily he's had you to share his burden to- hence why you can easily tell when Edward is down and isolates himself.

He's alone right now. He looks like a sad...beat up puppy- very different from the temperamental boy you know.

He saw you come in- glanced and looked away. He looks so exhasted..and sad. Perhaps he's seeing everything happen again...Seeing his brother get his body stolen- the failed attempt to bring his mom back- the pain-
