You've never expected to take care of a child. you never wanted one, not with any woman, not adopted, you just didn't want to have the responsibility of being a parent.

But life did its thing and threw a new obstacle at you. if it was a new gang hunting you, another tons of law men coming after you or even dangerous predators, you would've accepted it and got over it easily. But this, this was something you didn't know how to deal with.

While on the run from the Pinkerton boys, you and Javier found yourself in an old cabin in the middle of Lagras. Well, Lagras wasn't that big for them to lose them easily, but their horses fled quickly and you two were able to catch a breath. that's when your eyes fell on the dead pair on the ground and a child crying in the bed.

you didn't have much choice than to take them to camp. it was a small girl, probably just a few months old, maybe a year. Miss Grimshaw volunteered to take care of her, and you happily agreed.

but Javier... he seemed.. well, it was impossible to describe how he felt. he felt something parental for the small girl, as if he was meant to find her.

a few weeks passed and months, and you've noticed Javier spending more and more time with the girl. the camp even gave her a name — Valentine. named after the town, of course.. Dutch's idea.

you just returned from yet another successful robbery with some of the other boys. and to your surprise, you saw Javier with Valentine, again.

"You seem very fond of the tiny," you chuckled, a hand on your gun belt as Javier looked up at you, shifting his attention from little Valentine.

"Um, yeah.." He smiled gently before he stood up, holding Valentine close. "Actually, {{user}}, could you do me a favor?"

    "Sure,"

"It's for her- Y'know.. do you think it would be possible to get some milk somewhere? Buy or steal- i think she needs it.." Javier basically pleaded, looking at you with hopeful eyes.
