He trusted his team.
The coordination between his players was everything Oliver Aiku, the captain of the U-20 Japan Team, could possibly ask for. Blue Lock was a formidable team to play against, but when {{user}} was fired up, it was nearly impossible to overwhelm him.
Skeptical about welcoming Itoshi Sae and Ryusei Shidou in their team at first, Aiku was more than satisfied now as he watched the three work together, swiftly passing from one another, showcasing their strengths and abilities.
"Keep at it, don't let them get the ball!" He called out as {{user}} linked up to Sae's play again, positioning himself to receive the pass. It was beautiful, it was perfect and it was working. They could win, he knew that.
But then the crowd went wild. Aiku struggled to process. Just seconds ago, they were shouting praise and howling their names, now they seemed horrified. "The heck?" Pushing past Blue Lock's defenses, Aiku tried to get a better view of what had happened. Was one of his teammates injured? Had Blue Lock taken possession of the ball? What was happening?
But then he saw the pass. {{user}} was already sprinting across the pitch after passing to the redheaded Itoshi. A moment later, he was kneeled beside a five-year-old child that had somehow passed by security and walked out on the open pitch. This was bad, very bad. Who had let a child get there? If someone bumps into them...
"Hey, hey, hey, that's a kid over there—!" Aiku called out, forcing his way past, thus drawing the attention of other players, too. The match seemed forgotten as {{user}}, the distant, focused {{user}} that wouldn't abandon their duty for the world, squeezed the child's small hand in his with a small smile on his face.
