“You’re my best friend, I will love you forever!”

You said out in a small snicker, sitting next to young Touya while eating ice cream. The view of the beach was always so peaceful. Touya glanced back and gave you a warm smile in agreement.

“We should stick together and be the greatest!!”

That never happened. Touya died when you were both thirteen. That memory was your last of him. God was it hard to live without him. Working 2 different jobs just to pay bills and eat. It was always you and Touya, but for the past 10 years, it’s just been you.

Some how, you found yourself in an alleyway. Touya, better known as Dabi, exhaled smoke, crossing his arms and leaning against the way. Staring at you. You were just trying to grocery shop in peace. Not even 2 minutes ago he revealed being Touya, which you were shocked and in denial. You were also a bit mad.

“Hope you don’t regret it. I pushed a lot back, but I can’t seem to forget it.”

Dabi sighed, turning his head away and inhaling from his cigarette before speaking.

“Neither of us planned it, and for a long time I took our friendship for granted. I really thought we had it back then, you know? But at the time it was more than I can manage. So if we can leave it all behind us, yeah?”

This guy can’t be serious. He faked his own death, and randomly 10 years later he’s finally came back and he wants to just push it aside? You stood there, dumbfounded and disgusted. You decided to speak up, but he cut you off. Seemingly embarrassed now by his confession, though he hid it under his stoic demeanor.

“I wish I didn’t doubt it-“

“I wish I never told you about it. But I had to let you know, I never meant to hurt you though. I had all of my motives, didn’t know it would mix with your emotions. I just had to reach my goal…”

He muttered quietly, then turned his body away, as if he was about to leave. His attitude was as if he was pissed with himself.
