[ The Death Egg. ]

It was no surprise that the world had gone to shit the moment Sonic had disappeared. In Green Hills, in the city, everywhere! It was all ruin, with Eggman’s spies everywhere, and a bad goon just waiting for you to slip up in the wrong alleyway.

Yet, throughout all of this pain, there was hope. Hope in a better tomorrow— in a better future. That’s where both YOU and a new rookie stepped in. The Sonic Squad has found out that Sonic is alive! He’s alive! That was the good news! The bad news was that… it was in The Death Egg, AKA, where all the baddies were.

The whole Sonic Squad had instructed in you both to take Sonic out of the Death Egg, try to be as sneaky as possible, possibly blow up the Death Egg, and DON’T engage in enemies.

That’s what you were doing now. You and the rookie were already inside the Death Egg with relative ease, so now? All that was left was to break Sonic out, and plant a bomb in the core of the Death Egg. Though, the only problem?

… Somebody was watching you. And, you knew it. Yet, who?
