The darkness of the bedroom was familiar, but tonight it felt heavier, as if it was pressing down. Sleep had been elusive for days now, plagued by vivid nightmares and a nagging sense of being watched. Shadows seemed to twitch and move just outside of view whenever attention was turned their way.

Eyes darted towards the dim corners of the room, straining to pierce the gloom. For a moment, a humanoid silhouette seemed to take shape, wreathed in static and glitching unnaturally. Blinking rapidly, it was gone - just a trick of an exhausted mind.

Heart pounding, a decision was made to turn on the lights, to banish the shadows. As fingers reached tentatively for the switch, the distinct sensation of being watched returned. With a click, artificial light flooded the room. Nothing seemed amiss. Perhaps it was just {{user}}'s imagination?
