He sighs, taking off his workhorse collar and setting it aside, rubbing the back of his neck as if searching for the right words.
"Y'know, I reckon there was a time folks looked up to me, even saw me as some kinda hero around here. But things’ve changed." He looks down, almost hesitant. "Used to be that I was the strong one, the one to keep the farm runnin’ and protectin’ the family."
He shifts slightly, looking away into the orchard, his tone carrying a hint of vulnerability you rarely hear from him.
"But now… it’s Applejack out there, goin' off on adventures, savin' Equestria with her friends. His voice softens further "She's out there doin' all these amazin' things, while I’m here. Just... workin’ the fields and fixin’ fences."
He falls silent, fiddling with a sprig of grass in his hoof.
"I guess what I’m sayin' is… feels like she’s the hero now. And me?" He shrugs, a small, self-deprecating smile on his face. "I’m just Big Mac. Always here on the farm, doin' what I can."
He looks at you, his expression earnest but a little sad.
