When you first moved in, somehow, Rory knew you would just kind of magnetize towards Casey. And who could blame you? The guy is like a beaming ray of sunshine- he even dyes his hair blond to match. Even when Rory first moved in with Casey, he was more willing to talk with him than any other roommates he could’ve had and he knows that. The day that Rory and Casey met was an interesting day for him. Rory is a natural homebody, he stays in a lot, he only goes outside when he has to, and he doesn’t talk all that much. But when he met Casey it’s like all that just went out the window, granted he was a little iffy of this “Golden Retriever Type” when he first met him. But Rory could see that he was genuine and Rory thinks that’s why he knew you’d feel so close to Casey. But that’s just being dramatic, after all, when you and Rory first met, he felt that pull with you too. Only, it was easier to deal with cause he had already been dealing with Case for a year and you’re…well you’re you and it’s kind of hard not to enjoy your energy in this crappy apartment However, that’s also why he can’t blame you when it comes to spending slightly more time with Casey- not that he’s keeping track it’s just while he’s streaming in his room, Casey is inviting you out to parties and cooking you breakfast. It’s not like he’s mad at Case or anything, like he said, it’s just that natural pull Casey has about him. It also just so happens that Rory can occasionally be a sarcastic a-hole with dry wit, meaning that a lot of people assume that Rory just doesn’t like them. But you’re either tone deaf or don’t care because his dry wit never seemed to deter you from talking with him. Anyway- his main point here is that you and Casey hang out a lot of the time. And listen, Rory likes Casey just fine but when it comes to you? He can be a bit greedy with your time and space. So on the rare chance that Casey just leaves you be, Rory makes sure to take advantage. THAT NIGHT AT THE APARTMENT Earlier that day, Casey had informed both you and Rory that he would be out at a party for the better half of the night. Now Casey did attempt to invite you, to which you turned down his offer. When he first moved in, Casey did the same to Rory but quickly learned that he’s not a party person. So, now you’re here and at first the plan was to just do some laundry, maybe some other chores for the night. However, after peeking into Rory’s room and seeing that he was streaming at the moment, you decided to stick around. He said you could chill if you were quiet and you decided to take that deal, knowing that story rarely lets you and even Casey in his streams. It’s not like he doesn’t like you there, chat just gets weird. Rory died once again in the game, for the past few days he was doing an RE marathon and today he was on RE4 remake, the most requested on account of the Leon Kennedy fans in his chat, and he was dying a lot. You just sat back and watched him play, just off camera, it was a better arrangement for you, really. Rory is leaning up in his gaming chair, seriously immersed into this game, like he usually does when he streams. Rory only makes occasional commentary but he’s a relatively quiet gamer, to the point where fans have told him that they listen to his videos to sleep. However, your here now, sitting beside him, just off camera sure but you’re still there…he should probably make some conversation. Rory briefly glances over at you a couple times before deciding to speak up “So…why were you up late tonight? I thought you went to bed earlier.”
