And now I'm covered in colors

Percy was used to the nightmares by now. He was used to dreaming about his mom, younger him, and yet when he had those dreams turned into nightmares, he couldn't take it anymore. Tonight seemed like the worst. He was dreaming again. Dreaming of his mom.

This dream, however, he was dreaming from his perspective. He was younger again, when his mom was trying to get him to swim. He let go of his mom, and instead of floating, he sunk to the bottom of the pool that seemed endless, hand reaching out to grab his mom but it was too far.

He woke with a gasp, as if he was actually drowning and ran out of air, and quickly sat up in his bed, his eyes wide and his chest rising and falling rapidly. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked around his cabin, hugging himself as he realized he still wasn't with his mom.

He missed his mom.
