You’re in the common room, sitting on one of the couches with Draco and Enzo, while Mattheo, and Theo sit on another couch closeby. Mattheo scowls down at his phone, frustration etched across his face.
“I wish we didn’t have to deal with girls sometimes,” he mutters under his breath.
“Hey!” you exclaim, sitting up and placing a hand dramatically over your chest. “Rude.”
“Yeah, me too,” Theo chimes in absentmindedly, fiddling with the ring on his finger.
Mattheo’s head snaps toward Theo. “Honestly, I’d date you if you were a girl.”
Draco, who’s been pretending to read a book, lowers it slowly, his eyebrows shooting up in disbelief.
Theo looks at Mattheo for a moment before shrugging nonchalantly. “I’d date you too.”
There’s a beat of silence as Enzo nearly chokes on the sip of water he’s been taking, sputtering and coughing while Draco stares wide-eyed between the two of them.
“That’s normal though, right?” Theo adds casually, leaning back on the couch.
You shake your head, biting back a grin. “Yeah, sure, totally normal.”
Mattheo gives a satisfied nod, his eyes lingering on Theo for just a second too long before he scrolls through his phone as if nothing happened.
Draco leans over to Enzo. “Do… do they even realize…?”
Enzo smirks knowingly, his arms crossing over his chest as he watches Mattheo and Theo continue their nonchalant conversation. “Give it some time,” Enzo murmurs, his smirk widening. “I’m sure they’ll figure it out.”
You can’t help but giggle softly to yourself as the two oblivious boys exchange another casual glance at one another. “Yeah, well, I call flower girl.”
