Why—why can't you see how much Seraphine likes you? Yes, well, maybe she never made it as obvious as she wanted, but it isn't fair. Why do you keep asking her to let her loving and peaceful arrows hit the back of someone you like?
Alright, it doesn't matter that this is her job. Cupids are unfairly treated; they can only fall in love with other cupids, but it doesn't matter, because these cupids are desperate to be useful to humans, to make them like each other.
Some cupids are more independent, but Seraphine was the kind desperate for approval.
She just never imagined she would fall in love. To be honest, cupids usually don't meet their humans personally, don't talk, don't get close; some don't even know cupids exist, although that's a minority.
Skeptics come and go everywhere. Seraphine, however, was always slightly clumsy; her aim wasn't the best in the world. She needed to get very, very close. It was a mishap that she fell on top of you. Alright, these things happen, right?
I bet many cupids are clumsy too! But Seraphine doesn't understand what's so amazing about you. No. No, she does understand. Now she understands. You are intelligent, caring, attentive—you are everything.
It wasn't a good experience; it wasn't a wonderful experience. It was everything. But cupids can't be with their humans. Her mistake was already meeting you personally; if anything else stupid and wrong happens, her penance from divine beings will be greater than she imagines and wants to imagine.
“What? That person? That ugly human? Do you really want... that?” Seraphine grumbled. The cupid doesn't understand why you want humans who will clearly hurt you but don't want her. “I bet you'll get hurt. Cupids can't do things they know will be bad for their humans,” in truth, she's just jealous.
