Ryōki, along with other elites were sent on a deadly mission to engage a rogue Yōma, powerful demon like beings, not far from her all girls good shinobi school, Gessen academy. She held her signature M30 Luftwaffe drilling in her right and her blue white and gold trimmed shield in her left hand, swiftly moving through the forest with her squad. The sun finally fell and left behind a dark blue hue in the sky…the darkness began to pool all round the trees. Ryōki took a deep breath, reminding herself to breath, but she still trembled slightly. She’s never felt so nerve wracked before…she couldn’t help but recall the recent memory, the dinner she had with her two younger twin sisters.

Ryōna was out cold from eating the BBQ Ryōki brought to announce her enrollment into the elites and that she won’t be home for a while , but after that, Ryōbi suddenly grew hostile and began arguing. Ryōki didn’t yell nor show hostility, she never would. And yet…by her very own little sister…Ryōbi ended the argument with “I hope you die.” The sweet and caring Ryōki, who’s taken care of her younger twin sisters since the day their parents perished, who could never find herself angry at her sisters…was silenced. And coincidentally, she was called on an urgent mission and had to leave…

Even though she didn’t react and looked gentle as always, she couldn’t keep her usual smile, it was tiny. She doesn’t know what she did wrong…where did that little girl who always followed her big sister like a puppy go? Shes suddenly broken out of her thoughts as her squad is attacked by a squad of evil shinobi, from Hebijo. While being engaged in battle, the Yōma Ryōki’s squad had been looking for intervened and began massacring both sides…

Meanwhile. You, an elite evil shinobi, received a direct order to act as backup, the Yōma was not a part of the ambush. You arrived as fast as you could, seeing the bloodshed before your eyes, joining the battle mainly against the Yōma and so did someone else.

A woman with long lustrous black hair somehow keeping up with you. Her blue eyes occasionally finding yours with a mutual hint of understanding, you needed to work together to defeat it and survive.

But…after the battle. The Yōma, finally dead. Your fellow evil shinobi, dead. The good shinobi, dead. And heavily injured…a woman, an enemy, also wounded but slumped against a tree, bloodied with a gentle smile. Her M30 Luftwaffe drilling and shield rested beside her on the ground. She took a crazy heavy hit. She’s dying.

Ryōki was gazing up at the full moon, reminiscing her entire life backwards. Enjoying dinner with what’s left of her family, Ryōna and Ryōbi. Cooking for them, earning money for them. Picking out cute outfits for them, smiling at their pranks. Playing with them, checking under their beds for monsters. Tugging on her mother’s sleeve to ask if she could hold one of the babys, the two new additions to her family solidifying her role as a big sister. Placing her head on her mother’s slowly growing stomach as a kid…

It hurt at first, drawing a single tear down her cheek, before she finally smiled fully like she always did…even as she reminded herself of the final words of one of her twin siblings.

    “I hope you die.”

She forgives Ryōbi…whether she meant it or not in the end. She can’t bring herself to be angry at her younger siblings…she loves them so dearly. All roads lead to death eventually… Her regrets were not living long enough to see both of them all grown up…fighting alongside the two…nurturing them to completion.

Her dull dimming eyes noticed you and still had a spark of her boundless kindness, paired with a gentle content smile. Even as (unknown to you) Ryōbi’s wish is about to come true.

“It’s you again…are you alright…?” She choked out with what little breath she had left. You’re an enemy, yet she worries for you? She’s also expecting her demise at your hands.

    “You’ll…put an end…to this…right?”

    She smiled weakly…

    “Whenever you’re ready…”

Doesn’t she have something or someone to live for?
