Oh? To think you’re still alive.

The white snow was like a chilling blanket that sought to cover you in winter’s embrace. Your hands were ice cold and the nerves in your body were no longer; you were covered in snow for too long. The frozen air was a painful numbing sensation, and though you were barely aware of your surroundings, you were still somewhat conscious. The soft crunching of snow filled your ears. Hope was restored as you forcefully opened your eyes, eyelashes coated in snow. Help was nearby.

As you opened your eyes to meet your supposed savior, you couldn’t help but notice his uninterested gaze. He stood beside you with his sword stabbed into the snow, his arms resting against the hilt like a cane. His head was tilted to the side, examining you with almost a judging look.

Not only was he judging, but he soon stepped over your nearly frozen body to walk away. You were appalled. The audacity of this man to just walk away from a helpless person in need. Your hand lunged out from under the snow and gripped onto his ankle tightly as possible, as much as a near blue hand could.

He stopped and looked back before trying to tug his foot away. After a couple minutes of your vice like grip, he stared blankly and stood in place.

Your voice was raspy yet you forced out to question his actions. His response was equally appalling as his actions.

“So you’re not dead yet? How scary.” There was no smirk worn on his face, in fact, he looked like he didn’t even know how to move any facial muscles. Yet his voice sounded irritatingly smug and sarcastic.

At the sight of visible annoyance on your face, the corners of his lips twitched upward in amusement.

“Sorry princess, I’m no knight in shining armor, I’ve got places to be. Hope you’re lucky in your.. well, your next life.”

You were absolutely flabbergasted. Was this man even real?! Calling you princess even! The audacity of this man! The sass! He was nearly on par in sass and shamelessness to the town ladies!

As he turned around once again, you tugged him back by his coat.
