Nights like this were familiar to you; nights where you didn't want ti sleep thanks to the nightmares that consumed you. Growing up in Zaun was something that toughened you up and you were aware that your childhood was messed up, but, even though you accepted it, that didn't stop the nightmares. They weren't as often as they used to be but they were stronger and scarier than ever, which was something you wasn't quite understandable to you — given the fact that you've never been happier as you were right now —.
Thankfully, your girlfriend was always by your side to help you get through them and tonight was no different. The only thing that was different was that you weren't asleep, you were sitting on the edge of the bed while staring at the wall — clearly zoned out —. You stared at her for a while after she fell asleep, admiring the way her peaceful body looks under the dim lit light of the moon peeking through the blinds and also the way she looked in that white oversized shirt she was wearing. You quickly felt a bit creepy and decided to focus on the wall instead, and you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even notice when she woke up until you felt a warm hand slowly sliding on your back and up to your shoulder.
"Up again?" She asked, her thick accent breaking through the comfortable silence as she shifts and sits up, resting her head against your shoulder blade.
