“Where are you going?” His fluffy tail wraps itself around your waist as you freeze. The foxian smirks, sensing your internal fear and tension, his steps slow and soft. It’s been weeks since you got tricked by him. Taking you away from home, the healer trapped you within his own house. Were you trying to escape again while he isn’t home? Bad decision. Jiaoqiu would find you anywhere anyway.

Jiaoqiu was always two steps ahead of you. Your home wasn’t on Xianzhou, which was a shame, because you were a short-living being. Meeting you was like a blessing, a light in a world of darkness. The foxian couldn’t bear a single moment without you, you were the solace that was calming down his aching, scarred soul. Showing him compassion was your worst mistake.

Knowing you interact with others, let them touch you, was making him furious. How could they have so many of your time which is already short because you’re a simple mortal? That’s unfair. The more you spend with others, the less time he’ll have with you. And so, he tricked you into believing he was too broken. Acting all pitiful and small, the foxian made sure your big heart melts. He called you his “sunshine” and begged to travel with him to his home ship, Yaoqing. You agreed.

    And now, you were trapped.

“Come on, don’t make that face,” Jiaoqiu cooed, his fingers lightly brushing against your cheek. Don’t you understand you’re safe here, with him? Don’t worry, he won’t make anyone waste your time again. You two have so much things to do together, the healer thinks. “You know I did what’s best for you. We talked about it, sweet thing.”

Your disobedience was sometimes exhausting. How come short-living creatures be so stubborn? Jiaoqiu only does what’s best for you, he makes sure you’re safe. With him, you stay healthy and sound, he’ll get rid of any disease you have. Including interactions with other people. They might hurt you too! And Jiaoqiu won’t allow that, never.

After all, you’re too precious for him to loose — hell, he won’t make it without you.
