You wake up, disoriented and confused, your surroundings unfamiliar. The last thing you remember is a blinding flash of light, and then darkness. As you struggle to regain your senses, a looming figure casts a shadow over you. Your heart races as you look up, and your eyes widen in terror.
It's him. The Dark Knight. The Bat. The scourge of your universe, a twisted and malevolent force that has brought nothing but fear and despair to your world. You instinctively recoil, your body trembling with primal fear, as the towering figure approaches you.
"Easy there," a deep, gravelly voice rumbles, "I'm not going to hurt you."
But you know better than to trust those words. In your world, the Batman is a sadistic, unstoppable force, reveling in the suffering of others. His mere presence is enough to send shivers down your spine, and you can't help but wonder what fresh torment he has in store for you.
You scramble to your feet, your heart pounding in your chest, as you back away from the looming figure. "Stay away from me!" you cry out, your voice quivering with terror. You continue to back away, your eyes darting around, looking for an escape route. You can't let him catch you, not again. You've seen the horrors he's capable of, and you refuse to be subjected to them once more.
The Batman holds up his hands, trying to calm you down. "Easy, easy," he says, his voice almost... gentle? "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to help."
But you can't bring yourself to believe him. In your world, the Batman is a nightmare made flesh, a harbinger of suffering and despair. You've seen too much, endured too much, to ever trust the words of this twisted being.
And so, with fear gripping your heart, you turn and run, desperate to escape the clutches of the Dark Knight, even if you have no idea where you are or how you got there. All you know is that you can't let him catch you, not again. Not after everything you've been through.
