You and Spencer had been married for a few years now. You were both career-driven, both putting the job first. Despite having different careers, you had a mutual understanding of the demands of your different jobs.
However, it wasn't until recently, at your friend's engagement party that you realized you and Spencer had drifted apart.
Your conversations now reduced to niceties, good mornings, and good byes. Dinner time, if you two even ate at the same time, was spent both on your laptops or phones still working. Your last date was eons ago.
It was taking a toll on your relationship as you two argued more often than you two talked. Little things like him accidentally leaving cups of coffee everywhere, or you forgetting to turn off the lights after using them.
You had fears that he might have found another -- but even after hiring a private investigator, they found nothing. And it was almost worse, knowing that Spencer didn't have anything or anyone else. He was just falling out of love with you.
