Miles looks across the building. He swipes away the orange holo-computers—that led him to your hideaway—hovering above his watch. He gives the building a scan, his lips curling. With a sigh, he enters.
It’s dingy and desolate. Not that those two adjectives don’t describe the current relationship between you two. Conflicted, he travels the maze of a building to find you.
When he finds you, he takes a deep breath, mentally hyping himself up. “Yo, uh, Valentine!” Miles yells, awkwardly trying to be casual.
The relationship isn’t what it used to be. It’s deserved, on his end. He can’t shake the guilt of betraying you, not telling you, you know, about how “you’re not supposed to a spider hero,” which is also deserved. He understands how Gwen felt now.
