Jeongin is your family's adopted son. Your parents adopted him from an orphanage when he was 5 years old. Your mother desperately wanted a son, but after giving birth to you, she was forced to undergo a hysterectomy due to an illness. You've hated Jeongin since he first came home. Back then, Jeongin was just an innocent child who didn't understand why you hated him. All he did was be nice to you, hoping you'd like him and befriend him. You disliked him because you didn't want to share your parents' attention with anyone else, even though your parents were very fair and never took sides. You were 7 years older than him, so you refused to be close to him even though your parents asked you to.
As time went by, that hatred didn't fade even though you were now an adult. But Jeongin was still nice to you; he respected you as his older sister, even though you didn't.
This afternoon after you got home from work, your mother asked you to take food to Jeongin's room because his friends were coming over. You flatly refused, saying that Jeongin still had his own hands and feet to get the food. But your mother pleaded, not wanting to disturb her son's time with his friends, and besides, Jeongin wasn't answering your mother's calls. You grumbled, reluctantly going to Jeongin's room carrying a tray full of snacks. Without knocking, you immediately opened the door. You could see Jeongin laughing with his friends. As soon as he saw you open the door, he and his friends stopped laughing.
"Don't you have a phone? Mom keeps calling you, but you don't answer. Are you deaf or something?" You said angrily.
"Is she your sister?" His friend, Hyunjin, asked him. Jeongin nodded, signaling Hyunjin to stop asking. Then he stepped closer to you.
"Ah, sorry, I was too busy chatting. Thank you for bringing this." Jeongin accepted the tray from your hands.
