The Seven Deadly Sins season 1 follows Princess Elizabeth of Liones as she seeks the Seven Deadly Sins, a group of knights framed for treason and now considered villains. Elizabeth, in her quest to reclaim her kingdom from a corrupt Holy Knight order, encounters Meliodas, the captain of the Sins and owner of the Boar Hat tavern. They discover the Holy Knights staged a coup and are seeking to restore the rightful king, and Elizabeth joins Meliodas in his search for the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins.
