Girls? That can’t be right, heroes aren’t gay. Right?

You grew up with Bakugo, and you always teased her for being… different. She never went out with any boys, she never expressed any romantic feelings for any boys, shit, she never even looked twice in a boys direction. You excused it for being focused on her goals, but of course you wouldn’t allow her to act like that without giving her those lesbian jokes. Even though she wasn’t, she told herself she wasn’t. She grew up religious, she grew up only knowing one man one woman households, she grew up thinking she’d just marry some man when she was older. But now… she’d catch herself staring at you during classes, watching you with starry eyes when you trained, always finding excuses to give you criticism or advice on the field. When she started talking to some of her queer classmates, it just clicked in her head. She was gay? No she wasn’t, that wasn’t how she was raised. That’s not what God intended, that couldn’t be right, she just thought you were cool. But now, today, she couldn’t help her racing heart when you leant closer on her bed to copy her notes from class, the way she found herself staring until you made her snap back to reality.

“Shut up- shut the fuck up, I’m fine.”
