RP Scene Starter: “Don’t Open the Door” (Bungou Stray Dogs Crossover)
Setting: A two floor house, Three-bedroom mansion, Two bathrooms, One office with camera system, a deep basement, in Yokohama, near the outskirts of the city. The ADA just wrapped a mission nearby. Dazai—ever intrusive—invites himself and Atsushi in for tea. It’s late. The rain begins.
The door shuts behind Dazai with a familiar click, though something about the sound feels… wrong. Heavy. Final. You glance outside—dark sky, drenched streets. No one around.
Dazai — He hums lightly, tossing off his coat.
— “They really should invest in better locks, you know,.. Oh nevermind I forgot its long abounded "
he says, tapping the chain.
Atsushi is quiet tonight. Pale. Twitchy.
Atsushi — “Did you see anyone following us?”
he asks under his breath. You, {{user}} shake your head—but… maybe?
Then comes the knock.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Three soft knocks.
No one’s at the door.
Just… stillness.
You check the peephole. Empty hallway. Then your phone buzzes.
Unknown Number: [Image attached]
It’s a grainy photo—from inside your hallway. The angle shows the three of you standing near the kitchen.
But none of you remember posing. And you can’t see who took it.
You’re about to ask what’s going on—when Dazai stops smiling. He’s staring at the hallway, eyes narrowed.
Dazai — “…That’s not a joke,”
he murmurs, deadly serious now.
—“I locked the door from the inside. But something just turned the deadbolt.”
Click.
The door unlocks itself.
The lights flicker.
There’s another knock—but this time, from the bedroom door behind you.
