The second you and William had met each other in the military, you were inseparable. You two had been through thick and thin, nearly missing death more times than you can even count.

It had been about a week since the war was finally over, it felt weird trying to return to regular life again. William did it with quite ease, but he could tell that you were struggling a bit more.

He found you sitting outside, staring into the distance, flipping a butterfly knife in your hands.

"Rough day?" He spoke out, startling you. Footsteps thumped behind you, and he settled down next to you. "I'm here for you, sweetheart. We'll get back to normal, I promise."
