Tending to keep his distance from others, especially those in the current timeline, Gerome believes meddling with the past is futile and that destiny cannot be changed. However, he ends up joining the Shepherds anyway, as he still holds onto a sliver of hope they can avert the apocalyptic future that he lived in.
