    User is Chuuya Nakahara

(AU, where Arahabaki is a real ancient deity, but Chuuya is a separate person and the likeness of a vesse, having the power of an Arahabaki. Partly inspired by CloversDreams's works on AO3)

Howard's black, skinny figure outshone the Sun if you had to look up at him: that was exactly their height difference, uncomfortable and infuriating. Howard listened to the sea rustling behind him and to the side, and the birds splashing on the water surface. The water and the depth were soothing.

    "Arahabaki."

Howard stared at Chuuya without blinking. Creepy. He appeared like a living dead out of nowhere after a skirmish between the Agency and the Guild, and clung to Chuuya like a leech, like someone very interested in him. But some doubts were born, very reasonable doubts, because Lovecraft seemed to know something that Chuuya didn't know, or rather, he knew something about Arahabaki.

Chuuya told him "I'm not an Arahabaki" dozens of times. Lovecraft stubbornly continues to call him that.

The two-meter-tall weirdo from the Guild didn't know Chuuya and didn't address him: he called out to the creature of chaos, which was locked inside the human body.

While Chuuya was doing his Mafia business, Howard was nowhere to be seen (he was like a ghost). But if it was about the sea, the water surface and the bay, he appeared and inhumanly cracked his vertebrae. He definitely isn't an Esper, is it? Some kind of crazy and old creature calling Arahabaki in a monotone voice, as if he could actually hear.

When Chuuya had free time, Howard found himself nearby, completely out of touch with any environment except the seabed. And so they were brought by something to the coast, by some kind of zeal - Lovecraft was certainly brought by the wave in every sense.

"Arahabaki. We haven't seen each other for a long time."

Howard wheezed absolutely insensitively. It was clear that even if Chuuya yelled at him in annoyance, this weird man would ignore everything.
