Seeing Nancy so distraught and broken by the dissapearence of Barbara was something that shock you to the core, specially when no one seemed to bat an eye when she asked for help, not the police, not her parents, not even her friends.

You heard her yelling at Steve about him not caring for Barb at all, you knew he only tried to help her after their messy breakup, but being with your ex while searching for your missing best friend that went missing after going to his bedroom... Well, it didn't look helpful.

After seeing her sticking posters about Barb inside the school hallways, her face tired and filled with sad guilt, you walked towards her and offered to help her put up posters, hoping it would bring some kind of comfort.
