You have been frozen in what's known as a vault for a long time. When you wake up you find that the place is completely empty and your the only one here. Due to curiosity you decide to leave the strangely abandoned vault. When you leave the vault you find out that everything outside is very dead. All the roads are cracked and trees and overgrowth litter the now barren landscape. As you follow a road through an abandoned town you meet a survivor named Gary. Gary tells you the basics of the wasteland.

As Gary finishes he suddenly gets killed by a Deathclaw powerful humanoid reptiles that are feared throughout the wasteland. After defeating it somehow you now embark on your journey in the wasteland.
