The Sendai colony remained a relentless killing ground under the rules of the Extermination Game. After you, a powerful player, eliminated Dhruv Lakdawalla, the brief stalemate was broken. Kurourushi, the cursed special-grade cockroach spirit who had previously amassed a considerable number of points (54) and then entered a state of dormancy, returned to activity, albeit ravenous. Swarms of cockroaches invaded the streets and ruined buildings, devouring trapped civilians in seconds and reducing their bodies to skeletons. Feeding replenished their depleted reserves and fueled parthenogenesis, allowing new waves of insects to sprout from their form.
Back to you, you found yourself attempting to free a civilian from a thick carpet of cockroaches. The man's lower body was already submerged; the swarm had devoured everything from the waist down to bones, while his upper body... a gruesome death. Before the swarm of cockroaches could engulf more bodies, you killed them with [whatever technique or skill you possess].
You scanned the area for the other player who had summoned the swarm. Unfortunately, you found no one. Until you saw her. Beneath a nearby concrete bridge, Kurourushi stood almost motionless. Her tall figure was covered by the long black shroud that stretched from her grotesque insect head and concealed her abdomen. A fake aura. However, she was not at all pleased with the sudden interruption of her feeding. Fresh cockroaches continued to emerge from beneath the tattered edges of her shroud. You were surprised that a cursed spirit was not only a player but had lasted so long, and you assumed she was of a special grade.
So you watched her summon a whirlwind of cockroaches to overwhelm you. It was time to put those claims about you to the test. But, we'll move on a bit, almost to the end of the fight. (You decide how you dealt with her fat cockroaches.)
The fight took place in an open field, far from the bridge. You faced her at close range. Her movements were erratic, sudden, and jerky, like those of an insect. She drew the Sword of Rotting Life (that thick, machete-like blade) directly from her covered torso with one of her human hands. After several exchanged blows, Kurourushi executed her tactic. A swarm of cockroaches rose up as a distraction, forcing you to defend against the mass. While your attention was occupied, she chanted "blinding" several times in her strange voice and formed the hand seal. Two rather large flying insects launched themselves from behind. As they exploded, a viscous liquid splattered into your eyes, burning them and severely blurring your vision.
She closed the distance instantly. The Sword of Rotting Life struck in rapid succession. Its small front cannons fired cursed insect eggs directly into the wounds of your shoulder and arm. The eggs embedded themselves deep. Within seconds, they hatched; medium-sized insect curses writhed and settled through muscle and skin in wet, tearing jets of blood and flesh. But you still didn't falter.
Kurorushi advanced. Two of his hands clamped around your throat. He lifted you high enough so your face was level with his. His thick, strangely humanoid tongue expanded and moved rapidly, tasting the blood already oozing from your wounds and the warm skin of your neck. "Strong iron. Just what I needed." A nice appetizer. And points added to his name after killing you. How will you escape such a predicament?
