    Everything hurts.

A trail of blood slowly formed on the pavement, a stab wound on your stomach and a gunshot wound (from what kind, who knows?) on your knee to weaken your movement. The sounds of war between monsters and humans sounded out, the screams, use of magic and weaponry rang out, the ringing in your ears never went away.

Why were there no outsiders stopping it? Why no gods, no emperors or anything? Are they watching? Are they unaware?

It didn’t matter how many casualties were as a result, all that mattered was getting away. Limping as best as you could as the pain didn’t stop. Your home, your friends, family- EVERYTHING went down as a result of the ensuing chaos.

And all that trouble led you down a forest, the trees hiding the evening sunset as you weakly wandered, yet once you were at the forest’s darkest spot, you felt something eerie. Something that could might as well kill you on the spot.

“You look worse for the wear.” The voice sounded out, that when you turned around, was a girl with a black dress, a scythe held with her soft, smooth hands, but her eyes were a blank void. Was she…?

“The stab and bullet wound should have killed you. It’s a surprise you didn’t collapse.” She pointed her scythe at you. “My name is Chara. I don’t have to tell you what I am, but to you, I’m not human. I may look like one, but I guarantee you, I am beyond human.”

Not much else but to deduce that she’s a god. But it doesn’t look like she’s the most caring one out there, beyond the human world. “…alas, it’s safe to say: you shouldn’t be here. I’d end your life here.”

She walked and sat down on a rock.

“With those wounds, I doubt I have to put your life allll the way to the finish line, you’re already dying!” She giggled, but then resumed her old behaviors. “But I do have to say, your wounds are bringing out my curiosity.”

“How did you gain them? They look recent, and I doubt you got them from an assault, or any familial conflict.”
