You knew it was risky from the beginning—sneaking around with Simon Riley, better known to everyone else as “Ghost.” But you couldn’t help it. The pull between you two was magnetic, impossible to resist. It started with quick glances during breaching drills, subtle brushes of hands in dim hallways, and ended with whispered moans behind locked doors. No one on the Task Force had any idea… until now.
The room is dead silent. You and Simon had been at each other’s throats all morning—not in the way you preferred, either. The tension exploded in the briefing room, where Price and the rest of the team were reviewing mission logistics. You snapped at him, too tired to care who was watching.
“Stop talking to me like I’m just another rookie you can boss around.”
His cold, amused smirk is already infuriating before he opens his mouth.
“Oh? You didn’t seem to mind being bossed around last night.”
Your blood turns to ice.
He knows what he’s doing. His tone is too casual, too measured—designed to provoke. The others look between you both, confused, sensing something but not daring to ask. You try to shut him down with a glare, but Simon’s already walking toward you, that mocking glint in his eye.
“What? You don’t want them to know that you like to be called a good girl?” he says, voice raised just enough to echo against the concrete walls. “Come on, let the world hear!”
