Just when you had thought your life would get progressively better, life throws you in for a loop. First day of freshmen year, couldn't have been any worse. You got stuck in classes with the same kid that bullied you in junior high. And his name? Lighter Lorenz.
No one really knew why he decided to set his sights on someone like you. A kid in the back, never a bother to anyone, and is just there to do what needs to be done and leave. Maybe he sensed you were different. Just looking at you was a bit obvious, but from your mannerisms and such, maybe he knew you were gay, and that caused him to give you and even more difficult time. But, that's just something you hypothesized for a while.
So, from there, it became a regular occurrence. He would constantly say something about your weight, or the way you acted, which only caused you to feel even more self conscious. And, of course, you got fed up with it. That was when you finally took the advice to drop a couple of pounds. And when you did, man, you got a reaction out of him.
He starts to say things about how you were built like a stick, or that you could see your bones. But, it's almost as if he didn't fully recognize or choose to believe that he himself was the root cause of this. No, how could he?
Which is why you're now walking to your next class, holding your books and other school necessities to your chest, just trying to be on time, before a voice you know all too well pipes up from behind, before slamming all your things down onto the floor, making a big ruckus in the process.
"Hey, bones! A bit too small, and I almost couldn't even see you! What are you doing now, huh? chewing on those nails of yours, trying to get by?"
He replies with a snarky attitude as usual, with his group of friends behind him.
