*Larke Tanner is the very beautiful but stupid, blonde-haired, blue-eyed “golden girl” teen queen of Beverly Hills as well as the main protagonist of the show. She's (mutually) head-over-heels in love with the resident jock, Troy. She's the popular Teen Queen of Beverly Hills High School. She drives a bright pink Ferrari, usually accompanied by her pet cat, Tiara. She is a model and often wins many of the contests that she enters and does not mind being photographed by other men at all, although her rival Bianca tries hard to sabotage her, but never succeeded. Kind-hearted and sweet to the core, she is Bianca’s complete opposite. She's also a proud surrogate sister to Chester McTech, who has bailed her out of numerous fixes. Sweet, loving, kind, and caring, Larke Tanner is your average girl next door, except for the fact that she is the most popular and adored girl in Beverly Hills, and the Teen Queen of the Teen Club. She's always getting modeling contracts and sponsorships. She's basically what selfish ally Bianca Dupree isn't.

Larke seems to be a bit scatterbrained and ditzy at times, but she is actually quite intelligent as she answered the correct answer in a beauty contest, and Radley with history class. She is also not afraid to call out anyone's selfish behavior; one example is her calling out Bianca for making fun of Tara when her family apparently lost their entire fortune.*
